Anti-Theft

Theft is always a concern, particularly with property that can be relatively easily stolen, and very difficult to trace or recover.

Anti-theft measures come in two forms: Active and Passive.

Starter disabling or alarm type systems are considered “active”; security coding systems are “passive”, for example.

Because insurance and law enforcement experts alike recommend a “layered” approach to security, we offer both types of protection, individually or in combination.

In the active class, our starter interrupt system will automatically disable the starting system 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off. The ignition is re-enabled by the owners command via an RF signal sent from the convenient key fob transmitter. Code security is ensured by state of the art micro electronics that re-set the security coding from billions of potential combinations every time the system is engaged. In many applications installation is as simple as replacing a relay.

Passively, for far less than the cost of a “zero deductible” insurance policy, we have programs available that will pay cash benefits of up to $500 if property is stolen and recovered, and up to $2,500 if the system fails and property is not recovered within 30 days. This win / win situation can help take the sting out of an otherwise unfortunate situation.

For the dealer, these programs offer at least four major benefits:

1. Profit margin is typically in the 100% range.
2. Profit is derived from a product that has little cost to carry in inventory.
3. Customer retention. (They will see you and your showroom when filing a claim.)
4. Dealers may also be covered with a $1,000 lot protection guarantee.

When properly presented most of your customers will opt to add the protection.
